Car Seat Donation

Your Panhandle ASSE Chapter once again donated car seats to the first and second babies born in the New Year at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. Pictured are chapter members Gene Teetor and Melanie Sanders with obstetric nurses just before the presentation of the car seats.

Establish a Safety Fund

Donors can establish a named academic scholarship or professional education grant fund through the ASSE Foundation. Scholarships and grants advance the safety profession and provide national recognition for the donor. The Foundation manages the administrative details of this program and works with the donor to provide qualified award recipients each year.

Visionary Fund

The ASSE Foundation can administer a Visionary Scholarship/Grant Program where funds are invested in the Foundation’s portfolio. The goal is to keep your principle intact over time, depending on the investment results of the Foundation’s portfolio. This type of fund is ideal for the donor who wants their scholarship/grant to last over a long period of time and has the cash to fund such a program.

Advocate Fund

The ASSE Foundation can administer an Advocate Scholarship/Grant Program where the donor contributes enough to cover the amount of the scholarship and the administrative fee for a one year period or more. These funds do not earn interest and are paid out to the recipient during the next scholarship cycle(s). This type of award suits the donor who does not want to establish a Visionary scholarship/grant

Professional Safety

For more than 50 years, ASSE’s Professional Safety journal has been sharing the latest technical knowledge in SH&E—information that is constantly being developed through research and on-the-job experience. Each issue delivers practical guidance, techniques and solutions to help OSH professionals identify hazards, protect people, prevent injuries, improve work environments and educate management that investing in safety is a sound business strategy.

Full-issue PDFs of Professional Safety (from January 2005 forward) are now available to members through ASSE’s Members Only website. Each file contains interactive links to help members navigate through the file. We’ve also included links to ASSE, regulatory agencies and other sources, and the journal’s advertisers. A reader simply needs to mouse over a link to be redirected.
